Where check-ins are saved, and who can see them.
Patients choose what to share with their clinic. Where an entry is saved depends on whether they use the iPhone app or a browser.
On the iPhone
Check-ins and journal entries are saved on the phone. Before the patient says yes to sending check-ins, the app says what the care team will get. They can turn sending off later. Journal entries stay private unless the patient taps Save and send.
In a browser
Browser check-ins and journal entries are saved with the clinic. The care team can’t see unshared entries through TransplantCheck. Patients can delete their unshared check-ins and entries.
After something is shared
Withdrawing an entry asks the clinic to delete its text from active records. An audit line remains. Older clinic backups may keep a copy; the retention rules for real clinic use are not yet settled.
Help and emergencies
My check-ins includes Help now. Nobody watches check-ins for emergencies. The care team sees new alerts inside TransplantCheck, but no email, text or push alert is sent.

TransplantCheck is in beta. Clinics must review privacy, storage and backup rules before real patient use.
